I found some sheet music from the 1st album.

Firefest top 10!

With around 140 bands over ten years, Firefest polled
the fans via Facebook (prior to the 10th Anniversary)
to discover the top 10 greatest performances.

We're absolutely thrilled to find Alien (2011) at 8th!
Thanks FF, you're the greatest crowd ever!

Old flames die hard

Fans of our debut might like to know that we've reconnected
with co-writers Pam Barlow & Janet Morrison Minto for the
coming album!! The girls have written lyrics to a whole bunch
of our new songs, turned out great... just you wait! ;)

Jim, last time around... hard at work at Sound City, LA in '88.

We're now taking a short break in the album production,
preparing for the "Firefest, 10th Anniversary" show. Looking
forward to meet all you AOR heads in Nottingham again! :)

Classic Rock Magazine: AOR

Classic Rock (presents) AOR #9 feature an ALIEN interview,
talking about the upcoming Firefest (10th annviversary show)
performance... and of course the new album in the making.

Also, Ken is on the (15 track) CD sampler "AOR: Supersonic",
coming with the magazine - in Chasing Violets "Deception In
Heaven" (of the Jade Hearts album).

Keyboards... check!

Last two weeks have seen the Alien production come alive
with Jimmy's mighty keyboard arrangements!

Although the lion's share of the sounds for the album are
created, uniquely by Jimmy, with modern technology -
we enjoyed blending a few vintage keys in the production.

Although mainly based on the Wandroph signature Alien
type sounds... there'll even be some B3 organ, Stanway
grand, Rhodes etc. in there (if you listen closely). ;)

Studio diary: Bohus Sound peek

Work in progress!

Alien finally started recording the new album last weekend.
Drums were cut at Bohus Sound Studios Aug 1st-3rd.

Toby did an awsome job, so did Bohus Sound drum tech/
in-house engineer Stefan Karlsson. Great fun!!

For the first four 7" singles, as well as the
Scandinavian version of the debut album,
we chose airbrush pieces by Gothenburg
artist Anders Holmberg for cover artwork.

The Gibb brothers penned song became a hit and the break-
through for Graham (the Marbles) in 1968.
Same song did the same thing for Ken, in 1988.
Now, two further decades have passed... still epic!!

Swedish Metal Classics

Rare and expensive classics get reborn!
EMI Music Sweden is proud to present the reissues of some
Swedish sought after hard rock and metal classics.

March 25th marks the release of the campaign Swedish Metal
Classics, a pack of well hidden gems and forgotten jewels get
a chance to reach a brand new audience across the globe!

24 albums, 10 of them haven’t been available since the 80’s.
A 16 track compilation feature each band in the campaign;
Alien, Biscaya, Bedlam, Dalton, Talk of the town a.o.

No.1 in Japan!

Alien hits the No.1 spot in the import album chart in Japan!
Burrn! magazine feature a special ad/article on the reissue
of the 1988 debut album, due to topping the chart.

remastered for digital download. First out are

(the Original Lineup versions).
